My first book!! It's finally a reality.  Thank you for indulging the kid in me who sees the moment to create without thinking about what it "should" look like. It's a dream come true. I've learned so much in this process. Even when I was putting it together, I remembered where I was when writing these poems, who was there, what I was doing, what I was going through, who it was about or who it was for. I was surprised to find it even more cathartic and healing than when I first wrote them. Then, I had the bright idea to pair some of my artwork up with poems and have some scattered throughout. After all, I started painting as a sort of therapy. I never knew it would lie in these pages next to my words. It's truly a labor of love.
